Waverider looks into a possible future of Superman. He sees that Clark and Lois get married, but Lois is blown up in a nuclear explosion caused by Intergang. This makes Superman go on a rampage removing the world's nuclear arsenal and becoming the world's police.
After he accidentally kills seven men aboard a nuclear submarine, the president asks Batman to "take care" of Superman.
